Invitation Limit Reached
When you reach the invitation limit, you can temporarily no longer send additional invitations via your LinkedIn account.
LinkedIn has introduced invitation limits to preserve the quality of the network and to ensure that members only receive relevant connection requests. When you reach the invitation limit, you can temporarily no longer send additional invitations via your LinkedIn account.
The average limit is 200 requests per week. You can find the exact limit in your CompLeadly-statistics for this week. To do this, click on Statistics in CompLeadly and look at the statistical values for invitations from the last calendar week, or from this week if the connection limit was reported recently.
Here are some important points regarding the invitation limits and restrictions on LinkedIn:
- No Reversal by Withdrawal: If you withdraw invitations, the limit is not lifted. The restriction remains until the specified period has expired.
- Applicable to All Members: Both standard and premium members of LinkedIn are subject to the invitation limits and restrictions.
- Wait Until Monday: After reaching the invitation limit, you must wait until the next Monday before you can send invitations again. During this time, you cannot receive or purchase any additional invitations.
- No lifting of the waiting period: LinkedIn cannot waive the waiting period. Regardless of the circumstances, you must wait for the specified waiting period.
- No Disclosure by Support: For privacy reasons, LinkedIn support will not disclose any information about the nature or reason for the invitation restrictions on your account.
- Withdrawing Requests: It is recommended to have a maximum of 200 pending requests, and only those that are up to 5 days old. LinkedIn does not want you to connect with people you do not know, and can easily determine if this is the case if many people ignore your request instead of accepting it.
The more pending requests you have and the older they are, the more likely it is that contacts will ignore you when they go online again. By withdrawing requests, you can minimize this risk.- You can find more information here: Why should I withdraw requests?
