Import LinkedIn Poll Participants as Target Groups in CompLeadly

Activate the Feature

You can find the import feature in CompLeadly under:

1. Add More Features
2. Export Contact Data
3. Add the desired function using the plus symbol

Once you have activated the function, you can import poll participants from LinkedIn.

Insert Poll Link

For CompLeadly to capture the participants of a specific poll, you need the link to the poll:

1. Go to your poll on LinkedIn
2. Click on the options in the top right corner
3. Select “Copy link to post”
4. The link is copied to the clipboard – this will be displayed at the bottom left on LinkedIn
5. Go back to CompLeadly
6. Edit the function and paste the copied link into the “Poll link” field

Adjust Import Settings

Before importing participants, you can define:

• How many people should be imported (e.g., 100)
• Prefix for the search list name

CompLeadly will then automatically create a target group based on the poll responses.

Creating Target Groups

The imported participants are categorized according to their responses. For example:

• Test_CustomerAcquisition
• Test_NetworkBuilding
• Test_EmployeeRecruitment

You can customize the prefix (e.g., “Test”) as needed.

Using Target Groups for Sales Activities

You can use the imported contacts directly for your campaigns. Examples of personalized messages:

• “Hey, you voted for customer acquisition. What is most important to you?”
• “Hey, you voted for network building. What challenges do you see?”

This allows you to follow up in a targeted way and address the participants’ interests.
