Effective Use of LinkedIn Events for Customer Acquisition

LinkedIn Events offer an excellent platform to reach potential customers in a personal and engaged manner. This method eliminates the need for cold calling by generating warm leads through invitations to events.

Event Creation on LinkedIn

The process begins on the LinkedIn home page, where the option to create events can be found in the left menu. By clicking on the plus sign, a new event can be created. It is important to choose an appealing cover image and to describe in detail the benefits of your product or service in the description. The goal is to spark the interest of the invited individuals so that they decide to participate.

Designing the Event

It is recommended to mark the event as free and non-binding to encourage easy participation. For maximum flexibility in planning, the start date can be deliberately set in the distant future (2-3 months from today). This provides ample time to invite people and collect their confirmations. Interestingly, the approach here is to possibly not have the event take place at all. Instead, it could either be canceled at short notice or postponed to a later date, with the motto: Something came up.

Using CompLeadly for Event Promotion

Once the event is created, the event link can be copied into the CompLeadly function “Event Invitations” to start sending out event invitations.
Invite up to 100 contacts from your network here. Increase the number slowly, for example, with the number placeholders.

With CompLeadly, automated messages can then be sent to the event participants, representing a first interaction and already before the effective use of LinkedIn events for customer acquisition.
Address the participants of your event.

The goal is to engage the contacts with questions about the product and service before the event, leading to an appointment with you, where you can close them as customers.
